COVID-19 update 26 February

Achieve Australia supports and welcomes the Government’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout that started this week. We are glad to see that Phase 1 includes people with disability and vulnerable community groups, the health, aged care and disability work forces.

Vaccination against COVID-19 can save lives and higher vaccination rates can make outbreaks much less likely in the community in the future. Staff and clients in our accommodation services are expected to be part of Phase 1 of the rollout. Currently, we are waiting on timeframes and further instructions from the Department of Health on when the vaccine will be available for clients and our teams.

For now, the Government has provided a COVID-19 vaccination consent form for people to fill in to receive the vaccine. Clients of Achieve Australia can fill in and send your completed forms to ceo@achieveaustralia.org.au or provide it to your local Service Manager.

While we wait for the vaccine our teams continue to follow COVID-19 policies and procedures to help keep everyone safe.

If you would like more information about the rollout, please see the latest information provided by the Government via the links below.
