COVID-19 Update 7 May

COVID-19 update 7 May

NSW Health has issued a public health alert to disability providers in NSW given the recent COVID-19 cases in Sydney. This means that all Achieve Australia sites and homes will now require visitors and staff to wear masks.

In addition, we have been advised that disability accommodation residents may have a maximum of two visitors each day. They may have different visitors each day. If you are feeling unwell or experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, we ask that you reschedule your visit and get tested.

Please visit nsw.gov.au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates for more information on the latest locations where COVID-19 cases have visited in recent days in Sydney.

A friendly reminder for clients to also send in your COVID-19 vaccination form if have not already done so. Please email your form to ceo@achieveaustralia.org.au or provide it to your local team on site.

While the vaccine rollout has begun at some of our complex health care sites, we are currently awaiting advice from NSW Health on when more locations across our service will receive the vaccine.
